She specializes in anxiety, loss, stress, parenting concerns, couple and family issues including separation, divorce, couple, and step-family issues.
In addition to private practice, Karen has over 10 years of experience as a school counselor helping children, pre-teens and teens develop skills,
face challenges, own their voice and power and ultimately know, love and accept themselves. She has worked in both private and Chicago inner city schools and has expertise in challenging behavior, school difficulties, peer/friendship issues, bullying, self-esteem, teen pregnancy and school violence.
Lauren Bondy, MSW
Lauren offers a variety of therapeutic services for adults, children, teens and couples. She is passionate about helping people discover their inner power so they can live their dreams. She received her Master’s degree in clinical Social Work from Loyola University Chicago.
She specializes in working with anxiety, stress, depression, parenting and family issues including divorce and separation.
As co-founder of Parenting Perspectives, Lauren is enthusiastic about helping parents and families thrive. She has presented her original workshops and courses to thousands of parents and teachers in the Chicago metropolitan area. Mary Beth, the founder and President of 2nd Career Consulting is an experienced executive, coach and mentor having spent the first 30 years of her first career in the financial services industry, most recently as an executive and shareholder of MullinTBG.
During that time, she had numerous roles with increasing management and client responsibility. In her most recent role, she was an EVP and Chief Sales Officer of MullinTBG, a firm that consults with Fortune 1000 companies on executive benefit issues. While in that role, Mary Beth spent a significant amount of time coaching sales consultants on specific prospect/client issues and networking for new clients, while also helping them create strategic plans designed to set and reach their annual goals. In addition, she mentored a number of younger professionals, both inside and outside the firm, on career-related issues as well as work/family balance issues.

As the founder of bumble + bliss, Denaye Barahona brings a great deal of energy and passion to supporting families. A Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Behavior Analyst, she has nearly a decade of experience in consulting and coaching families, training childcare personnel, applied behavior analysis, and individual and family psychotherapy.
Additionally, Denaye has an extensive background in child development and experience treating disruptive behavior disorders. This includes: ADD/ADHD, Asperger’s Syndrome, Autism, PDD-NOS, Opposition Defiant Disorder (ODD), Intermittent Explosive Disorder (IED), and Conduct Disorder.
She has successfully worked with a variety of complex and delicate clients such as: at-risk foreign adoptions, intensive in home treatment for Autism Spectrum Disorders, training foster parents to care for behavior-challenged youth, and a variety of mental health and personality disorders.
Denaye is licensed for independent practice as a Clinical Social Worker. She holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work–specializing in child, adolescent, and family practice. Recently, she completed extensive post-graduate coursework in applied behavior analysis and is in candidacy for board certification as a behavior analyst ( BCBA ).
Peter Colt Van Ryder

Peter started his service career working as a bellman and concierge in a small luxury hotel in Houston, Texas; eventually working his way up to Front Office Manager of a Crowne Plaza Hotel. Refining his skills as an Innkeeper at a four star Country Inn and French Restaurant. After 7 years as a Private Service Professional in roles as Butler, Household Manager, Personal Assistant and Estate Manager, Peter attended Starkey International Institute in Denver, Colorado where he earned his certification in Household Management. He was previously certified as a Cisco Network Administrator and a Microsoft Systems Administrator. Having worked in homes on both coasts and overseas, from 2,000 to 30,000 square feet, on estates ranging from 4 to 280 acres with active horse trails, he has honed his skills through continuous education and a drive for the betterment of the industry.
Based in Dallas, Texas he is working for the positive growth of the Private Service Profession. In 2009 he established Estate Management Solutions, which is dedicated to educating the public and professional about the high standards of the private service industry. In 2010 he established the Dallas Chapter of the Domestic Estate Managers Association, currently serves as Chapter President and is actively involved in setting up the DEMA Institute.

Charles is the founder of Charles MacPherson Associates Inc. and brings over 24 years experience in Household Management as the Major Domo for one of Canada’s most prominent families as well as his role as Founder and President of Charles MacPherson Associates since 1996. In 2009 Charles opened North America’s only registered school for Butlers & Household Managers in Toronto, Canada.
Charles has consulted with both Residential Clients and Hospitality clients in Canada, the USA, UK, Europe, South Africa and China in the areas of staffing, training, planning and managing and is recognized as a world authority in the Household Management and Butler fields respectively. In the past six months alone, Charles has completed assignments at some of the leading hotel properties in China, India and France. Charles has personally written the department standards and was the lead team trainer for Queen Mary 2 and Fouquette’s Barrière Hôtel along with being the lead trainer for the butler department of the Four Seasons Hotel in Shanghai, China. Charles heads the Hospitality Advisory & Consulting practice at CMA.
In addition to his other full time duties at Charles MacPherson Associates Inc., Charles is currently writing “The Butler and Household Manager’s Compendium” which promises to be the definitive work on the subject.
